Little Athletics Sandringham (LAS) are launching a new website with ONLINE REGISTRATIONS for Season 2010-2011. Stay Tuned!

If you are new to the Club or returning for another fun filled season Registration will be as simple as:

Register and pay on-line from early September (keep checking the Website for our Launch Date!) by clicking on the REGISTER NOW link on this page. Please note that all registrations will close from 9pm on Sunday 19th of September 2010 to allow us time to prepare for the start of the season.

Come to one of our Registration Days and register with one of our helpful volunteers. Registration days for the 2010-2011 season will be held on Saturday 11th of September and Saturday 18th of September from 10am until 12 noon.

All athletes are required to collect their SHOW BAG and COMPETITION NUMBER on one of our Registration Days. Just bring along your on-line receipt.

The 2010/2011 Little Athletics Season Starts on Saturday 2nd of October at the Sandringham Athletics Track, Glamis Ave, Hampton for a warm up from 8.15am for U6-U9's and 10.30am for U10-U15's.

Enrolments are now open for the 2010 State Multi-Event Championships to be held on Saturday 20th of November (U9-U11) and Sunday 21st of November (U12-U16) in Shepparton.

The multi-event is a fantastic opportunity for LAS athletes interested in a wide range of events to get some competition experience. Athletes compete in Discus, Long Jump, Hurdles, 100m and 800m. √   If you are new to the Club and keen to help our budding athletes get the most out of their time at SLAC, then this is the course for you!

√   If you have spent a season or two on the sidelines and want to get more involved in the action, then is this is the course for you!

Little Athletics Victoria run Introduction to Coaching Courses every year to equip our parent volunteers with the skills they need to coach entry level athletics to children.

Some of the benefits to you as a Coach are:

• It's fun!
• You have the satisfaction of watching our budding athletes improve;
• You won't have to slave away at the bbq!

 The benefits for the Athletes are endless and include:

• Having more fun because they know how to do each event;
• Watching you getting involved;
• Improving each week with your help.

At our AGM on Saturday 27th of March we celebrated another successful year at LAS

2009-2010 Season Highlights include:

• Over 600 athletes registered
• A record number of Personal Best perfrmances;
• LAS won the Fred Roffey Trophy at the Regional Relays;
• 28 teams qualified for the State Relays; and
• a record number of athletes qualified for the State Track and Field.

The 2010-2011 LAS Season will see a well needed upgrade of the track surface take place over the Christmas break. While Bayside Council has scheduled this to avoid disruption to our season, we are conscious that the project may have an impact on the program.

We are working on contingencies to minimise the potential impact and will communicate with all members throughout the project to avoid inconvenience. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
